Default Starting a new character and chaging profession

I currently have a Elementalist/Monk... but I really want to change from monk to ranger secondary at some point.

My question is if I create a new character with a primary or secondary profession as a ranger and I go about unlocking ranger skills.

If I then change my primary character to a Elementalist/Ranger... will I have access to all the unlocked ranger skills?

Not in PvE, no.

Since the June 15 update you get the skills from pre-searing when changing your secondary profession, but that's all.

I see, I get the most basic skills, but for everything else I need to buy for my primary character... bah! humbug.

Ok one final question, I've been told then when you change your secondary profession in the desert you lose ALL your skill points... is this true or not?

Yep, you can, you need to speak to someone in either heore's audience or Seekers passage to get a quest, complete it and you change secondry profession...However you can only do it once you have ascended....

Well to be more accurate, there is a girl in Dronak's Forge who sends you on a quest to visit three towns with the Crystal Desert. Once you have completed that there are 6 ghosts (I think 2 in each area) which give you a quest to do.

Once you complete their quests you can change your secondatry profession at will.

Only problem is you don't have access to ANY skills, other then the basic ones when you change secondary profession.
